About Me
Rami Aburomia has been growing apples in Wisconsin since agreeing to prune Eplegaarden in 2004. This introduction turned into a full-time position and then an operating agreement with the owners to manage the orchard. The transition to a new operator was not without complication but has been good for both Rami and the orchard owners. In the last two years of operation Rami has partnered with another grower to share the responsibilities of running the orchard operation. In 2015 Rami also started Atoms to Apples on his own farm. A smaller farm of 4A of high density apples, pears, plums and peaches, Atoms to Apples has around 60 varieties, and is certified organic. Rami is focused on growing apples efficiently, whether that means using platforms to work in the tops of trees or offering PYO, Rami is game for trying to work smarter!
