Many key insects pests of direct market vegetable crops are obvious, and easy to scout for and subsequently identify.  Others, however, can be cryptic and hard to see through traditional crop scouting.  We will focus on two such examples in the current presentation, potato leafhoppers in potatoes (and green beans also), plus onion thrips in onions as well as storage cabbage.
